Quarterlyish Update: April 2026

A brief update here, mostly to say that I’m making progress on Oath & Memory. Writing slowed down a lot during the fall and winter of 2025, as life was quite busy after moving to our new house. And then the holidays struck! 

Now, however, Oath & Memory is chugging along pretty well, distinctly into the final act of the book. I’d estimate there to be 10-20,000 words between here and completion, though remaining word count can be a hydra.

With the move (and subsequent hectic summer) well past us, I’m really enjoying our new place. We moved out of the city, and I’m writing this with a view of some nice pine trees. I’ve been setting up my workshop for carpentry projects, and having fun with miniature painting.

I’ve finished some batches of models and terrain for Warhammer and 5 Leagues from the Borderlands (a wonderful narrative, solo game). With a new lightbox, a birthday gift from my family, I’ve also been working on making my miniature photography more interesting.

And that is, more or less, everything fit to print. I’ll be focusing finishing Oath & Memory, and with any luck the next quarterly update will actually be quarterly!
