Thindul
"Thindul" means "treasure," or "gift" in the speech of the Ironheart dwarves, the first children of the creator-god Ostic. “Thindul” names both the world, and its only known continent.
A map of Thindul, purchased in Marlinhelm. The hawker who sold it to me vouched for its accuracy. |
I began building Thindul for tabletop games, but over time the world bifurcated into a version I was developing for my own enjoyment, and a version for gaming. The latter itself trifurcated into other variants for multiple tabletop systems. The former, which I lavished with worldbuilding when I perhaps should have been doing other things, became the setting for Out of Dark Waters.
Below are a variety of maps and worldbuilding articles, which represent the spell-checked tip of the iceberg of what I’ve written about Thindul.
